Vinny Gounden

When I was just a kid I used to go to my grandfathers house on my fathers side and he used to show me how to create small intricate pieces, I was specially fond of the scroll saw (which I still use to this day).

My grandfather on my mothers side taught me that with some ingenuity and practice I could make anything like a sling shot out of string, tyre tubing and a paperbark tree.

It was my father who taught me "hard work" and respect for my creations he also taught me how by using ingenuity I could design anything that I could see in my mind.

And it is my wife who pushes me to succeed in my dreams of owning a successful business of furniture made by hand and supports me during my challenges.

It is these people that have carved me into the furniture designer and maker I am.
